- Those who form the character of the children form the character of the nation.
- No work is of greater importance for God’s glory than the education of the young.
- It is in the schools that we must get a hold of the children and bring them within the influence of grace.
- Teach them (Children) to speak the truth, to be honest in speech and behavior, even if they have to suffer for it.
- The first great need in a Girls’ school is to train the girls in self-control, cleanliness, self-respect, earnestness, and reliability.
- These maxims are the sayings of Mother Mary Charlse Magdalene Walker, Servant of God, and a champion of the education of children and women in the Vicariate of Southern Nigeria 1923-1966.
