Our History

It is very interesting to note that our Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation founder Mrs Lynda Neto-Umeano's childhood was filled with the echoes of her parents' dedication to education and community service. Growing up, she watched as her parents(Late Chief Livinus Ndubuisi Ugeh and Lolo Theresa Ugeh) tirelessly train students in their community school at Isiukwuato, Abia State, providing them with the tools they needed to succeed in life. Additionally, her parents were always ready to lend a helping hand to women in need, offering support and guidance to those who had nowhere else to turn. Inspired by her parents' example, Lynda knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in their footsteps. She understood the transformative power of education and the importance of empowering those who were less fortunate. So, when she became a mother herself, Lynda decided to take action. With just four children, including her own son, Lynda opened the doors of her own school (Lynette Prime School) in 2008.

Three of the children were from a nearby motherless babies home called Tenderlove. It was a modest beginning, but Lynda poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing environment where every child felt valued and supported. As word spread about Lynette Prime School, more and more families in the community began to enrol their children. With each new student, the school grew, and so did Lynda's vision for its future. She knew that education was just the first step towards empowerment, so she set out to establish programs that would equip her students with practical skills for life beyond the classroom.

Drawing from her own experiences and the lessons she had learned from her parents, Lynda established an Online and Offline Skills Acquisition Centre ( Lynette Prime Skills Acquisition Centre). Here, both children, youth and women could learn valuable skills such as Catering, Baking, Arts and Craft, Bead Making, Event Training and Planning, Tailoring, Computer Literacy, Cosmetology and Entrepreneurship. The centre became a hub of activity, buzzing with excitement as people from all walks of life came together to learn and grow. But Lynda's ambitions didn't stop there. She knew that in order to truly make a lasting impact, she needed to reach beyond the confines of her school and skills centre. So, she founded the Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation in 2015, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children, youth and women in different parts of Nigeria.

Through the Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation, Lynda and her dedicated and Articulate Team were able to expand their reach and offer even more resources and support to those in need. From mentorship programs to microfinance initiatives, the foundation became a lifeline for many, providing them with the tools and opportunities they needed to create a better future for themselves and their families. As the years went by, Lynette Prime School and Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation (LPEF) continued to thrive, touching the lives of countless individuals and families in various communities. Though LPEF journey has been long and challenging, Lynda and her Team knew that it was all worth it. For they have seen firsthand the power of education and empowerment to change lives, and Lynda was grateful for the opportunity to carry on her parents' legacy of love, compassion, and service. For years to come and beyond, Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation would like to look back with pride as they witness the transformation of their students, youth and women who are empowered. Many would have gone on to pursue higher education, while others will find success in their chosen careers or as entrepreneurs in their communities or the world at large. The once timid children who walked through the doors of Lynette Prime School would have blossomed into confident, empowered individuals, ready to take on the world. But for Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation, the true beauty lay not just in their achievements but in the knowledge that LPEF had played a small part in shaping their futures. Each success story is a testament to the power of education and the resilience of the human spirit. And as the LPEF gazes upon the thriving community and the world the Foundation has helped to build, LPEF knows that her journey was far from over. For as long as there were children in need of a helping hand, Lynette Prime Empowerment Foundation would continue to be their champion, their mentor, and their guiding light.
